David Hume visits Moneyrea

   

Come along on Thursday 10 October (7.00pm) and listen to Dr David Hume MBE give an illustrated talk on the Ulster-Scots.

Admission is free.

Dr. David Hume grew up in the Ulster-Scots community of Ballycarry and has an abiding interest in the heritage and culture of the Ulster-Scots. 

He is a local historian, and broadcaster on radio and television. An Honorary Citizen of Clover in South Carolina, he was awarded an MBE for services in the community in Larne and his native Ballycarry. 

He served on two Ministerial groups on Ulster Scots and the Flags, Identity, Culture and Traditions Commission. 

He is currently recording a new series of The Long and the Short of it for BBC Northern Ireland with co-presenter Tim McGarry.
